A popular columnist and blogger for the Chicago Tribune, Eric Zorn shares his recipe for keeping memories alive and storage areas clear in a post published this afternoon. It aligns nicely with my own post from yesterday about photos being enough for me. This article makes me feel a little vindicated (and a lot validated) for not storing every piece of kindergarten artwork or videotaping countless dance recitals. Twenty-six years into parenting, I wish I had done what Mr. Zorn has chosen to do, however. Love his family’s clever idea of making an annual yearbook. Check it out by clicking here. He then provides resources for his family yearbook idea here.
Would love to hear your ideas for archiving and preservation as well. Have a great weekend!
