Before the busy Mother’s Day weekend arrives, I’d like to take a moment to thank my own Mom for her 80 years of wisdom, grace and compassion. Our Mom has been lovingly by our Dad’s side for 60+ years. What an example of hard work, trust and love!
Mom was the centerpiece of our childhood. Mother of five, she always put us (and Dad) first. Always. No exceptions. Ever.
The tradition continues today. Grandma (as everyone now calls her) also has been an intimately involved, caring, and generous grandmother to 15 grandchildren ~ a gift beyond measure to these kids (many now adults) ranging in age from 33 to 12. (Today is the actual due date of our family’s first great grandchild! Thus, the circle of trust and love expands ever greater in just a short while. )
We are truly blessed to have our Grandma in our lives.
