Mary Kay Buysse (NASMM’s Blog Manager)
Mary Kay is the Co-Executive Director of the National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers (NASMM) since 2006. Before joining NASMM, Mary Kay was the Director of Program Development for LeadingAge Illinois). At LeadingAge Illinois, Mary Kay directed programs and education for all levels of staff in senior living communities, assisted living, nursing homes, and home and community based services.
Mary Kay began her career in aging services as an Area Agency on Aging case manager in suburban Chicago, where she administered federal and state programs for older adults. For many years, Mary Kay also has facilitated the elder care support group for employee-caregivers at the Northern Trust global headquarters location in Chicago. Mary Kay holds a Master of Science degree in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications.
Jennifer Pickett
Jennifer Pickett is NASMM’s Co-Executive Director with 30+ years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design and event planning, with particular emphasis in non-profit trade associations. In this role, she is oversees all marketing, creative services, communication, membership outreach programs and conference planning and management for NASMM. Jennifer holds a BA in Speech Communication from Albion College in Albion, MI and a Professional Certification in Digital Graphic Communication from the Illinois Institute of Art.

My wife is a “collector” and would love having help decreasing the size of her “collection”. We have no idea of moving. We are in Portland , Michigan. Any “Senior Movers ” in our area? Do we even qualify, since we are not moving?
